fourth week

April 21st, 2008

This was the fourth week of class. There is not much time in a quarter to do everything. I was in class today, enjoying the weekly lecture and discussion, when a policeman came in to tell us to evacuate the building immediately. WHAT??

So we all walked down eleven flights of stairs. I was pissed off because I LIKE school. I am such a nerd, but I ENJOY learning. Somehow, I just knew it was some stupid threat of one kind or another, since it was certainly not a fire alarm.

It turned out that it was a bomb threat. They closed the building for the night. These types of events are happening all over the news. People need to find more constructive things to do with their time. I am so mad, not just for me, but for everyone else who loses out on their education because of inconsiderate people like this.

Why do people do such things? What? to get attention? WHY ARE THEY WASTING MY TUITION?!?!? That makes me so mad! Maybe they have rich parents who do not love them but just give them money. They do not know the real value (or cost) of education. This is their cry for love. Someone go love them!!! (so they’ll stop wasting my tuition!!!)

I hear what you mean Maggie. When I was in high school, I enjoyed any minute I could get away from school, even with all the bomb threats that my school got. When I got to college, I wised up and realized that I was paying for this education, hence the feeling of being robbed.

I’m just glad that I now put my hope in God, and not in man… otherwise I would be even more disappointed than I already am. Now I just have to lift my concerns to God in heaven, and ask Him to calm my heart about matters like this.
